Rent on the Rise (Increasing Income)

According to Marcus & Millichap, San Diego will continue to see a significant drop in vacancy and increase in rent in 2011 due to rising payrolls and a steep decline in homeownership. Vacancy rate will reach 3.4 percent, well below the long-term average, which will cause rents to rise by 3.9 percent to an average rent of $1,371 per month, per unit.
